Seller Assistant API
HOW IT WORKS

Three steps from API key to live data in your system

No file to upload, no report to wait on — your request goes out and the answer comes back in seconds.

API key generation in Seller Assistant account settings
Why It Matters

As your operation grows, your tools should do more

Batch limits, one-way exports, and actions that still needed Seller Central open. The API removes all three.

API handling high-volume ASIN requests
No volume limit

Every ASIN, no batch limit

Checking data one upload at a time stops working once volume grows. Call the endpoint directly, for one ASIN or a hundred thousand, and get the same structured answer every time.

Two-way sync

Your own systems, kept current automatically

Connect Seller Assistant data to a system your team already runs, and changes flow both ways instead of needing a fresh export every time something changes.

API triggering automated actions like listing creation and shipments
Beyond research

Trigger real actions, not just pull data

Create inbound shipments, push listings live, and update supplier records automatically. Wire our API into your own system, and the action fires the moment your workflow calls for it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Visit Help Center
How do I generate a Seller Assistant API key?
Navigate to your account settings in Seller Assistant and open the API section. Enter a name for your key to identify which integration is using it. Your key is generated immediately — copy it and store it securely, as it won't be shown again after you close the dialog. You can generate multiple keys for different tools or automations.
What is the Seller Assistant API rate limit?
Rate limits vary by subscription plan. Paid plans include an allowance sized for high-volume operations. Your current limit and usage are visible in your account settings. Contact our team if you need a higher limit for a specific integration or use case.
Does the Seller Assistant API require a paid plan?
Yes, API access is included with paid Seller Assistant plans. Once your subscription is active, you can generate API keys and begin making requests immediately — no additional activation is needed.
How do I authenticate Seller Assistant API requests?
Pass your API key as a Bearer token in the Authorization header of each request. All endpoints use the same authentication method. The developer portal includes ready-to-run code samples in over a dozen languages, including Python, JavaScript, PHP, and cURL.
Does the API require a connected Amazon Seller account?
Some endpoints — including restriction checks and listing management — act on your behalf in Seller Central and require a connected account. Product research and data lookup endpoints can be called without a connected account. The developer portal documents which endpoints require it.
Is there a sandbox environment for testing?
Yes. The developer portal includes a built-in request sandbox where you can test calls and inspect responses without affecting live data or consuming production quota. Sandbox API keys are generated separately from your production keys.
