Frequently Asked Questions

Visit Help Center
How do I create a purchase order in Seller Assistant?
Select a supplier, set the ship-to warehouse, and add products from your price list, product database, or by ASIN. Quantities, costs, and order totals update as you build. When the order is ready, Send to prep reviews every line. A successful send sets the status to Ordered.
Can I add products from Price List Analyzer directly into a PO?
Yes. Select any products from your Price List Analyzer shortlist and push them to a new purchase order in two clicks. SKU, cost, and Case Quantity carry through automatically. The order can store Price Type (Each or Case), Cases to Order, and sellable units based on Amazon Pack Quantity.
How do Cases to Order and sellable units work on a purchase order?
Each line can store Price Type (Each or Case), Case Quantity, package quantity, Cases to Order, and sellable units. When the supplier sells in cases, or any line is Case-priced, the table can show Case Quantity and Cases to Order. Cases to Order is Units to Order divided by Case Quantity. If that value is not a whole number, the line warns you and does not round it. Sellable units are Units to Order divided by Amazon Pack Quantity. When the supplier sells in cases, sellable units are Cases to Order times Case Quantity, divided by Amazon Pack Quantity. For a Case price, unit cost is the case price divided by case quantity. The profit tooltip can list every applied cost, including Misc Fee.
How does invoice import work?
Upload a supplier invoice and Seller Assistant extracts line items and costs automatically. A review screen shows new items, changed items, unchanged items, and items needing attention. You approve the changes before they are applied to the PO.
How does PO profitability work?
Seller Assistant calculates estimated revenue, profit, margin, and ROI for each item in your purchase order using current Amazon prices and FBA fees. You see profitability per item and across the entire order before you send it. The profit tooltip can list every applied cost, including Misc Fee.
Can I send a purchase order to a prep center from Seller Assistant?
Yes, for prep centers connected through PrepBusiness-based integrations. Assign the warehouse, then Send to prep opens a review of every line against items at the prep center. Seller Assistant matches each line by a saved match, SKU, UPC or EAN, or ASIN with the same condition, or creates the item on send. You choose only when more than one item fits. Each line goes with its SKU or a suggested SKU in your team format. After send, received, damaged, and missing units sync back about every 30 minutes on the Prep tab. Resolve a gap on the line: claim from the supplier, the prep, or the carrier, accept the loss, or mark it still expected, and add a note on the PO.
What does Next actions show on a purchase order?
Next actions lists what to do next on that order: a failed send, receiving gaps, new SKUs to list, missing costs, an invoice to apply, or a stale draft.
What statuses can a purchase order have?
Draft, Ordered, Completed, and Canceled. A successful Send to prep moves a Draft purchase order to Ordered. While units are coming in, the header also shows the prep stage, such as Receiving 52/60.
How do SKUs get onto a purchase order?
A line without a SKU gets a suggestion. Seller Assistant reuses an existing SKU for that product first. One click links it or creates a new SKU in the format set under Settings > SKUs & listings: supplier code plus item number, supplier code plus UPC, ASIN plus condition, batch, or random. Lister opens from the PO with those SKUs, the PO marketplace, and your listing defaults. Send to prep uses that same SKU on the prep item, so the prep center and the Amazon listing stay on one SKU.
Can my team access and manage purchase orders?
Yes. All POs are shared within your team, with full edit and view rights.

Ready to turn products into profitable purchase orders?

Check profit before you buy, send the order to prep with a line review, and track received, damaged, and missing units from the same PO.
